These images, like the 11x14’s, are of the highest quality. The images are mounted on beautiful white card stock and are delivered with matching envelopes. Card sets are packaged in a manner suitable for gift giving with no extra fuss necessary. (Helpful hint: you may consider purchasing two sets of cards; most of our customers find they have a hard time parting with the original set purchased).
What kind of camera is he using?
Panasonic Lumix FZ 20.Where are these birds from?
Birds on this site that are jewel toned or vibrant in color on this site (i.e. the Resplendent Quetzal) are native to Costa Rica. To learn more about the birds of Costa Rica, Gary recommends “A Guide to Birds of Costa Rica‚” Stiles and Skutch. The majority of non-exotic birds captured in whimsical positions were photographed in Marin County, California. To learn more about the birds of Northern California, Gary recommends “The Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Western North America.”
Mention of these reference books is not a paid endorsement by the publishers or authors, simply Gary’s favorite books that assist him in getting to know the birds of specific regions.
Can Gary do a presentation at my office/school/event?
Yes! Gary has a marvelous slide show presentation that all find rewarding. The 90 minute slide show incorporates hundreds of images and is accompanied by Gary’s colorful commentary. Great stories, great photographs, great fun for all.For elementary school children, Gary has a modified 30 minute presentation which moves along nicely and focuses on the characteristics and evolvement of several bird species. The children are enthralled and encouraged to ask questions and laugh out loud.

Who designed your website?
The lovely and talented Maureen Kringen designed this site given only a bunch of pictures and one or two ideas. We asked her to run with it, and boy howdy, she took on the challenge of designing this work of art. She is a joy to work with, brings the project to completion in a timely fashion, and was very aware of our limited budget. We will forever sing her praises. Maureen can be reached via her website www.kringenmedia.com
